Gas Marketing Strategies
Scott Morgan has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having begun his career with Mobil Oil Corp. in 1971 in crude oil, gas and joint venture accounting, pipeline and gas plant auditing departments. He later became vice president of Geo-Tech Petroleum Inc. where his responsibilities included the management of accounting, division order and gas marketing departments. In 1992, Morgan and two associates founded Beacon Petroleum Management Inc.
In his position of Beacon’s president, Morgan has been involved with the ownership, management and/or operations of over 80 properties in eight states. He focuses on customizing marketing services and aggregating individual supply packages for independent producers. Marketing enhancement services that he and Beacon provide include: gas marketing and transport strategies; gas supply and gas control; crude oil marketing; asset optimization and information systems and advanced technologies.
Producer services include: field and joint venture operations; gas plant operations, contracts administration; pipeline reconciliation, and tax reporting and compliance.
Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri in business administration, economics and accounting. He was a member of Delta Mu Delta Scholastic Business Society and an Associates Professor at Southern Methodist University from 1989 to 2003. Morgan is also a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies.
