John T. Petropoulos
Vice President, Land Surface Development

John Petropoulus has more than two decades of experience in all aspects of prospecting, drilling and producing natural gas in Texas and Oklahoma.  Currently, he is responsible for Harding’s leasing and land acquisition programs in surface sensitive and highly competitive, urban and rural extension of the Barnett Shale natural gas play in North Central and West Texas. He had successfully administered joint operating agreements, exploration concessions, oil and gas sales contracts, pipeline and processing agreements, private financing, acquisitions, divestitures, and outside investor sales materials.

He helps to design and negotiate surface use and access for roads and pipelines, well placement, and well spacing in subdivisions in urban areas.  Petropoulus was instrumental in pioneering the early development of the Barnnett Shale in Tarrant, Parker and Dallas Counties.

Petropoulus has studied geology, chemistry, earth sciences and computer science at Mott College and the University of Michigan, both in Flint MI, and El Centro and Richland Colleges in Dallas.  He has also completed numerous corporate and continuing education programs sponsored by professional associations.  He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, Dallas Geological Society, Fort Worth Geological Society, Houston Geological Society, American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Society of Petroleum Engineers.  He owns Petrocasa Energy Inc.
